01 What a template carries
This works once your “Official WhatsApp Business number” is connected. After “Sync from Meta”, “Message templates” lists what each template carries: header, footer and buttons.
On a customer’s page, choose “WhatsApp” and pick a template. A “Header photo” or video comes from your media library; a PDF header is attached there and then, up to 9 MB.
A link button can ask for the end of its address, and a copy-code button for the code to copy. Footers, quick replies and call buttons are fixed: nothing to fill in.
A preview shows the whole message as the customer will see it. Anything missing or too long is pointed out before you send, and nothing goes until it is fixed.
02 Quick replies and opting out
When a customer taps a quick reply, their answer lands in the “Inbox” in the same conversation as the template, with the customer it was sent to.
Tapping a template’s opt-out button, such as Stop promotions or Unsubscribe, counts as STOP: no more templates go to them until they send START.
03 Sign-in codes
A sign-in code template sends a one-time code. Pick it and send: BestWebby makes the code, nobody in your dashboard ever sees it, and only a scrambled form of it is kept.
Ask the customer to read it back, type it in and press “Check code”. “Code matches. The customer has this WhatsApp number.” shows they have that phone.
A code works once, expires when the template says, or after 10 minutes, and stops working after five wrong tries. A number can be sent at most five codes an hour.
04 Confirm a storefront opt-in
You can send one WhatsApp message to each shopper who ticks “Message me on WhatsApp” on your storefront. First write a utility template in WhatsApp Manager that says how to opt out.
Sync it, then choose it under “Opt-in confirmation” in WhatsApp settings. Its one blank is filled with your store’s name, and “Send no confirmation” turns it off.
It goes once per opt-in, a few seconds after the tick, and shows in your Inbox. It never goes to a number that sent STOP, or to someone already opted in.
If it cannot be sent, you get the notification “A WhatsApp message was not delivered” with the reason. The shopper’s opt-in still stands.
That completes the course. Every chapter links to its manual page, for when you want more detail.

« Code matches. The customer has this WhatsApp number.
