Bookings and made-to-order
Sell your time with appointments: hours and staff, services and deposits, the calendar and walk-ins. Then take made-to-order requests, email a quote and turn it into an order.
Example store: Maple & Brass, a Toronto jewellery shop that sizes rings by appointment and makes pieces to order. Names, addresses and figures are made up.
Transcript
01 Hours and staff
Sell your time from “Appointments” under Orders, on the Growth plan and up. Start in “Settings”: pick your “Store time zone”, then tick “Limit bookings to store opening hours”.
Add “Closures” for holidays, and choose your “Reminders”. Each one is emailed with a calendar file and the customer’s change link. Then press “Save settings”.
Under “Staff & hours”, press “Add staff” for each person customers can book, yourself included. Set their “Working hours”, their “Breaks” and the “Services they perform”.
“Time off” stops new bookings with that person. Bookings already made are never cancelled for you: you are told how many fall inside it, and you move them yourself.
02 Services and deposits
Under “Services”, press “New service”. Give it a “Name”, a “Duration (minutes)” and a “Price”. Buffers before and after keep time clear to set up and tidy away.
“Taken when booking” decides what the customer pays online: nothing, a fixed or percentage deposit, or the full price. It is paid on your own connected Stripe account.
Set a “Minimum notice (hours)”, and how many hours before the start a customer can still cancel for a full refund. “Places per session” above one makes it a class.
Press “Save service”. Your booking page goes live at slash book on your store, and each service can also show a Book now button on a product page.
03 The calendar
Customers pick a service, a person or anyone available, then an open time. The “Calendar” shows every booking by “Week” or “Day”, in your store’s time zone.
Two customers can never take the same time: the check runs when the booking is saved. Open a booking to see the customer, what they paid and their notes.
From there, “Reschedule” emails the new time and an updated calendar file. “Cancel” can refund what your policy allows, and “Refund” returns any amount paid online.
Once it has started, press “Mark completed” or “No-show”. For walk-ins and phone calls, “New booking” books an open time. Nothing is charged there: take payment in person.
04 Made-to-order requests
For pieces you make to order, tick Made to order when you edit a product. Its page then shows a Request a custom order button to shoppers.
Requests land in “Custom orders” under Orders, on the Growth plan and up, with what the buyer wants and their budget. The cards count “New” requests and those “Awaiting reply”.
Open a request, write a “Note to buyer” and a “Quote price”, then press “Send quote”. The buyer is emailed your price and note from your store’s own address.
If your store has no sending address yet, you see “Quote saved, not emailed”. “In review”, “Accept” and “Decline” only record where the request stands, and email nobody.
05 From quote to order
Once a request has a price, “Convert to order” appears. It finds the customer by email, or adds them, and makes an order in your store’s currency.
When the request came from a product and your plan has B2B accounts, you get a “Draft order created”: send its pay link from B2B accounts, under Draft orders.
Otherwise it is an “Order created”, awaiting payment. When the buyer pays you directly, open the order and press Mark as paid. Next: what happens after checkout.

Dans « Settings », choisissez le « Store time zone », puis cochez « Limit bookings to store opening hours ».
