01 Sales tax on renewals

Each renewal is charged the subscription price plus the sales tax that applies, worked out the way checkout works it out: your tax rules, the product’s tax category, or Stripe Tax.

The “Subscribe” box tells shoppers the price is “plus applicable tax”, or “tax included” when your prices include it. The renewal order shows each tax, so it is in “Tax filing”.

Subscribers who joined before renewals were taxed are emailed the new total first, and that renewal waits at least 3 days. If tax cannot be worked out, nothing is charged.

02 Where renewals are delivered

Shoppers choose where it goes under “Deliver to” in the “Subscribe” box. Every renewal ships to that address and is taxed there.

In their account they can “Change address” on a subscription, from the next renewal on. A renewal already being charged keeps the address it was priced for.

Your “Subscriptions” list shows “Ships to” for each one. An older one with no address is taxed at the customer’s saved address, their last order’s, or your store’s.

03 Shipping on renewals

Shipping is not charged on renewals unless you turn it on. On “Subscriptions”, click “Turn on” beside “Charge shipping on subscription renewals”.

Each renewal of a physical product is then charged the cheapest of your own rates that reaches its address, taxed where your rules tax shipping. New subscribers see “plus shipping”.

Existing subscribers are emailed the new total 3 days before. If no rate reaches the address, the renewal is put on hold with the reason and tried again every hour.

04 Set pickup times

To tell shoppers when to come, open “Locations” under “Settings”, click “Pickup times” on a store that offers pickup, and tick “Let shoppers choose a pickup time”.

Set the “Time zone” and the “Pickup hours” for each day. “Prep time (minutes)” is 60 by default: the first window starts at least that long after the order.

A “Same-day cut-off (optional)” moves later orders to tomorrow. “Window length” is 30 minutes, “Orders per window (optional)” caps each window, and “Days offered” is 7.

Add holidays under “Closed dates”, then click “Save”. Turning pickup times off puts the store back to orders with no time; orders that have a window keep it.

05 The shopper chooses a time

At checkout, a shopper collecting from that store chooses a “Day” and a “Time” under “Pickup time”, in the store’s time zone. Passed, full and closed windows are not offered.

The window is checked again as the order is placed, so two shoppers cannot both take the last place: the second chooses another time before anything is charged.

The confirmation email, the order page in their account and the email that says it is ready all show the pickup time. A cancelled or unpaid order gives its place back.

06 Upcoming pickups and a new time

On “Pickups” under “Orders”, the “Upcoming” list shows paid orders still to prepare by pickup time. One still not ready after its window is marked “Window passed”.

To move one, open the order, click “Change pickup time”, choose a day and window, then “Save pickup time”. Even sooner than your prep time works; a full window never does.

The customer is emailed the new time and the change goes in your audit log. Next: bulk edit and age-restricted products.

Votre liste « Subscriptions » montre « Ships to » pour chacun.

Un « Same-day cut-off (optional) » reporte les commandes tardives à demain. « Window length » : 30 minutes ; « Orders per window (optional) » plafonne chaque plage ; « Days offered » : 7.
