Transcript
01 Card payments with Stripe
Card payments go to your own Stripe account. In “Settings”, open “Payments”: “Your payment gateway” is at the top.
Before you start, read “What Stripe will ask for”: your business details, a bank account, and an ID to verify it is you.
Press “Connect Stripe account” and finish on Stripe. It takes about five minutes, and the money goes straight to your own account.
If Stripe still needs something, the card says what, with “Finish setting up in Stripe”. When it is done, it reads “Active — receiving payments”.
02 Interac e-Transfer
For Canadian shoppers, “Interac e-Transfer” lets them pay from their own bank, straight into yours. You confirm each payment when it arrives.
First, register Autodeposit with your bank. Then turn on “Offer Interac e-Transfer at checkout” and enter your “Autodeposit email address”.
In “Name your bank shows senders”, enter the name exactly as your bank holds it. Shoppers are told to check it before they send.
When that name matches the one BestWebby checked for your business, the card says shoppers are told so. There is no Interac logo on your store: that needs a licence from Interac.
Ship once the money is in your own bank account, not when an email says it has arrived: fake e-Transfer emails are a common scam.
Press “Save e-Transfer settings”. Payments to confirm wait under “e-Transfers” in Orders, each with “Mark received”.
03 Automatic tax
Lower on the same tab, “Automatic tax (Stripe Tax)” calculates tax at checkout on your connected Stripe account, from the customer’s location and your registrations.
Add your tax registrations in your Stripe dashboard, then turn on “Use Stripe Tax for automatic tax”.
Leave “My prices already include tax” off in Canada and the US, where shoppers expect tax added at checkout. Press “Save tax settings”.
If checkout tax does not change, automatic tax may not be on for the platform yet, and your own tax rules stay the fallback. Next: shipping.

Activez ensuite « Offer Interac e-Transfer at checkout » et entrez votre « Autodeposit email address ».
