Transcript
01 Follow categories and competitors
“Market intel” follows the categories and competitors you name, on every plan. Each digest is paid from prepaid credit, so start under “Credit” and add an amount.
Add up to 10 categories with “Add category”, and up to 15 competitors with “Add competitor”, with their website if you know it. Each is saved at once.
Under “Schedule”, tick “Enabled” and set how many days between scans: seven is weekly. Scans are checked once a day.
02 Read your digests
Each digest is written from public web search results: a summary and highlights, “Bestsellers named in the results”, “Prices named in the results” and the “Sources”.
You pay only when a digest is written. When the balance cannot cover one, that subject is skipped this time. Open the sources before you act on a figure.
When the same item is priced in two or more digests for one subject, a “Price history” chart shows how that price has moved.
03 Competitor pages
On the Scale plan, “Competitor monitor” tracks the price on competitor product pages. Paste a page’s address and press “Track URL”.
Price tracking is rolling out. Each page is checked about every six hours: it shows “Pending” until its first check, then “Live” with the “Last price seen”.
If the checks stop succeeding, the page turns stale, then offline. For trends across a whole category, use your Market intel digests.
04 Social listening
On the Scale plan, “Social listening” finds public mentions of your terms. Under “What you track”, choose a type such as “Brand”, type the term and press “Add”.
Add “Exclusions” for words that mean a mention is not about you. “Where we look” lists the sources: “Google News”, “Hacker News”, and the Google Alerts or RSS feeds you add.
Each mention links to the original, rated for sentiment. Correct a rating with “Rate”, “Hide” what is not relevant, and set alerts and a digest under “Alerts & settings”.
05 Brand protection
“Brand protection”, on the Scale plan, gives a first look at intellectual property risk. Search under “Find a product”, choose it and press “Scan”.
You get a risk level, findings by “Type” and “Severity”, and a “Recommendation”. It reads only the product’s name, category and description, and searches no trademark register.
This check is rolling out: treat its answer as guidance, and ask an intellectual property lawyer before you act. Next: selling on more channels.

Next on the path: Module 40, Sell on more channels.
Narration is synthesised on our own servers from the script above, in a public-domain voice. Voice credits.
