01 Benchmarks

“Benchmarks”, on the Scale plan, compare your last 30 days with other businesses that share theirs. Press “Share my anonymised figures” to take part.

Only totals leave your store, never an order, a customer or a product. A figure appears once at least three other businesses selling in your currency contribute to it.

Benchmarks are rolling out, so until enough stores share, you see “No benchmark yet”. Then your average order sits beside others’. “Stop sharing” ends it at any time.

02 Engagement insights

“Engagement insights” is a preview, on your own webcam, of how attention can be measured: whether a face is present and how directly it faces the screen. It does not read emotions.

Press “I understand — preview demo”, then “Start demo”. The video stays in your browser, nothing is sent to our servers, and nothing about your shoppers is measured.

“Avg attention”, “Face detected” and “Frames analysed” come from your own camera, one sample every two seconds. “Stop analysis” switches the camera off.

03 Carbon estimates

“Carbon”, on the Scale plan, estimates the emissions of delivering each shipped order, from published UK government factors. Every figure is an estimate, not a measurement.

It uses the parcel weight and the distance between the origin region and the destination region, never the street address. Store pickups and till sales are left out.

You see “Estimated emissions by month”, “Products with the largest share” and “Recent orders”. Orders it cannot place are counted under “Orders not estimated”, with the reason.

“How the estimate is worked out” lists every factor used and the row of the publication it came from, so anyone can check the sums.

Manual: Carbon

04 Settings and pledges

Under “Estimate settings”, choose your delivery modes, a fallback parcel weight and your packaging, then press “Save and recalculate” to redo the last 12 months.

You can show shoppers the same estimate at checkout; it is off until you turn it on. Under “Your pledges”, record your own commitment. BestWebby does not buy or verify offsets.

That completes the course. Every chapter links to its manual page, for when you want more detail.

Vous voyez « Estimated emissions by month », « Products with the largest share » et « Recent orders ».

Sous « Your pledges », notez votre engagement.
