01 Pricing rules

“Pricing rules” under Catalog change a price automatically while a condition holds, on the Growth plan and above.

Start from “Quick presets”, or press “Add pricing rule” and pick a “Rule type”: a time window, a quantity discount, or a demand spike limit.

A negative value lowers the price. Hours are on your store’s clock: “Start hour” 18 and “End hour” 20 is six to eight in the evening, Toronto time.

Shoppers see the rule’s price with a line saying why, and checkout charges the same. “Pause” stops a rule without deleting it.

02 Product insights

“Product insights”, on the Scale plan, records each product’s origin, manufacturer, ingredients, allergens and certifications.

Pick a product, fill in what applies, such as “Country of origin” and “Certifications”, and press “Save details”.

Under “Shown on product pages”, choose which groups shoppers see in a Product details section. Mark only certifications you can prove.

The “Safety rating” and sustainability score are for your own records, and are never shown to shoppers.

03 Run a product recall

If a product must be recalled, open “Recalls”, on the Scale plan, and press “Issue recall”. Give a “Recall title”, the reason and a “Severity”.

Add the “Affected batch” and the “Affected SKUs (comma-separated)”, then issue it.

“Freeze inventory” takes those products off sale on your store. “Cross-reference” finds every customer who bought them.

“Notify customers” emails each one a link to view and acknowledge the recall. A buyer with no email on file is listed as “No email”.

Follow who is “Notified” and who has “Acknowledged”, use “Export” for your report, and “Resolve” the recall once it is handled.

04 Recall notices matched to your products

Under Settings, “Regulatory” reads public recall notices from the FDA, the CPSC and Health Canada once a day, and checks them against your products. It is on the Scale plan too.

Each match names the product it may concern and why it scored as it did. A match can be wrong either way, so read the “Official notice” before you act.

“Start recall” opens a recall on the Recalls page with the notice and your SKUs filled in. Nothing is frozen and nobody is told until you take those steps there.

“Not my product” takes a match off the open list. Under “Sources”, turn feeds off and pick the match level that notifies you. Barcodes and brands on products sharpen matching.

05 Licence keys

Selling software or something that needs unlocking? “License keys”, on the Growth plan, keeps a pool of keys for each digital product.

Press “Add license keys”: “Import” keys you already have, or “Auto-generate” them, with the “Max activations” each key allows.

When an order is paid, a key is taken from the pool and emailed to the buyer. “Low pool — add more keys” warns you before it runs out.

A key used from many places in a day is flagged, and “Show flagged” lists them. “Revoke key” disables a key on every device at once.

That covers pricing rules, product facts, recalls and licence keys. Next: bookings and made-to-order.
