Selling
Storefront Prices: One Product, Many Markets
Set what a product costs on each of your storefronts, or stop selling it on one.
Overview
When you run more than one storefront (for example a retail shop, an outlet and a wholesale site), each product can have its own price on each storefront. Every storefront row gives you three choices:
- Follow product price — the storefront charges the product's own price and moves when you change it. This is how every storefront behaves until you choose otherwise.
- Own price for this storefront — a price you set for that market. Editing the product's main price leaves it alone.
- Don't sell here — the product leaves that storefront entirely.
Your storefronts all charge in your store currency (choose it on Store currency); selling a second storefront in a different currency is not available yet. Nothing is converted: the box shows the currency next to the amount you type.
Step 1: Open the product
Go to Catalog → Products and open the product. Expand Pricing & promotions and scroll to Price on each storefront.
The section appears once a product has been saved. For a brand-new product, save it first, then open it again. If you have no storefronts yet, add one in Channels → Sites.
Step 2: Choose a price for each storefront
Each row shows the storefront's name, domain and currency, with a badge if the product is hidden there.
- Pick Follow product price, Own price for this storefront or Don't sell here from the row's menu.
- For an own price, type the amount in that storefront's currency. The amount is checked against the currency, so a currency without cents, such as JPY, will not accept one.
- Click Save storefront prices.
The summary at the top reads, for example, Priced for 2 of 3 storefronts, so you can see at a glance where a product is on sale. The product list also flags products that are not priced for some of your storefronts.
A storefront that does not carry the product yet shows Not on this storefront. Choosing a price there adds the product to that storefront, hidden, so you can publish it when you are ready.
What "Don't sell here" does
Choosing Don't sell here on a storefront that currently sells the product takes it off that storefront completely:
- it disappears from listings, search and the sitemap there;
- shoppers who already have it in their cart on that storefront cannot check out with it.
Because of that, Save storefront prices stops and asks first, naming the storefronts affected. Click Stop selling there to confirm, or Go back to change your mind. You can set a price again at any time to bring the product back.
Things to know
- Bulk price changes and CSV imports leave storefront prices alone. An own price, or a storefront where you chose Don't sell here, stays as you set it.
- The sale (compare-at) price is set once per product, not per storefront.
- Per-currency price overrides further up in Pricing & promotions are a separate setting for the currency a shopper views your store in. Price on each storefront is what that storefront charges.
